Fall is here!

It's a beautiful time of year in Maine. The leaves turn colors and there is a small breeze outside. I think I had Ella during the perfect season. Pictures outside turn out really well. She seems to enjoy being outside because it's not too warm and not too cold. As I've said in other posts, we enjoy taking her to soccer games and I've taken her on a couple of walks. Tuesday will be our next one.

Adam and I have sort of slacked in the picture department, but we do have a video of her. She's not really doing much, because, well, she doesn't do much.

Pukey McPuker

Ella has been spitting up a lot lately and I've grown a little more concerned about the amount. This is the second time I've brought it up to the pediatrician, but she seems to think if she's gaining weight that there isn't a problem. I'm more concerned about her comfort level. I'm sure it's not a good feeling to spit up all the time. We are going to watch her carefully and make sure she continues to gain weight.

She's sleeping a lot better at night now, Adam and I have worked out a good schedule that I get up and feed her at night, and he takes her downstairs at about 7:30 so that I can get a couple more hours of sleep in.

We took a trip to Portland this week to visit relatives. I don't think Ella got enough attention;) My awesome Aunt took really good maternity pictures that she gave me a cd of that I will be posting soon!

One Month Old Today

Oh how time flies. It's sort of bitter sweet. We enjoy watching her grow up, but want her to stay little at the same time.

We went and got her pictures done at Sears today. They did an excellent job and I can't wait to go and get them.

Today was a cranky pants day for her, she spent most of it almost passing out from crying which is heartbreaking, but other than feeding, rocking and changing her, there is nothing we can do. She finally laid down for a while so that I could type this out.

I'm going to add some of her one month photos to this post when I have some time tomorrow. For now, Adam, Ella and I are going to try and get some sleep.

Our baby is a soccer fan!

We bring Ella to every soccer game there is in Waterville. She seems to like it because she gets a lot of attention at them. People we don't even know come up and ask to hold her.

Adam, Ella and I went to a different department in Colby yesterday and everyone was just smitten with her.

She is growing so long and getting her own look, her complexion is lightening and she's definitely not as fussy anymore which is great. Come to find out newborns go through growth spurts every 3 weeks where they get fussy and want to eat all the time. I'm guessing that's what last week was.

She is only waking up every 3 hours now, or my internal clock wakes me up every 3 hours to feed her because I know soon I'm going to have to anyways, so I get her up, change her and feed her. We've learned that swaddling her really helps because it keeps her hands out of her face and away from her binky.

Ella Has Her Days and Nights Mixed Up!

Not sure if it was all the rocking she did in my womb all day, but she seems to sleep during the day hours and not AT ALL at night! That's why I'm downloading new pictures at 4:22am in the morning. Shes currently in her swing with a pacifier in her mouth, but we'll see how long that lasts. Anyway, as you may have guessed, she is still the cutest baby in the world and we are very lucky to have her, even if there is no sleep involved. Enjoy the pics!

Tummy time!

She's growing everyday! 3 Weeks Old Today!

Ella continues to grow and fill out, mostly in the tummy and face. She's not sleeping at all at night and we started co sleeping last night and that worked pretty well, so we will probably continue to do that until she starts sleeping better. Daddy's been good about taking her downstairs at about 8 in the morning so I can sleep for an hour to an hour and a half, I need that sleep so badly. I'd say I average getting up with her about 4 or 5 times a night.

Here are some more pictures.

Beautiful Baby Ella

Adam and I are enjoying every minute with our perfect baby:) Her doctor says she is the picture of health and she finally got to take her hearing test which came out normal.

We try to take pictures of her everyday, I think we missed one or two, but don't worry, my sisters and mom take pictures of her if we don't!

We are the luckiest people in the world to have had this beautiful baby girl! We count our blessings everyday.
