I am finally feeling a little relieved because my doctor has said it's time to go to part time. By the end of my long work days, my feet are so swollen and large, they won't fit into my shoes anymore and my contractions are more frequent. So I'm down to 5 four hour days. I told them I would finish out this week full time and boy am I doing that. I worked a 9.5 hour shift today, work 11-7:30 tomorrow and then work all weekend.
On a brighter note, my shower is on Sunday and I'm so thrilled!!! Adam's work threw me my very first baby shower yesterday and we received some really cool stuff, including hand knit blankets, a hand knit hat, some clothes, a couple of cool onsies and a gift card to walmart. We are so thankful that his co workers have been so generous.
Next week I have a breastfeeding class on Tuesday night and the following weekend, Adam and I have a weekend lamazze class which should be interesting. Everything is starting to seem very real now.

33.5 weeks and OH THE HEAT!
It is very humid and hot here right now! We went to my brother's double header for baseball today and I could only make it through a game and a half. After that I was done for and needed some air conditioning. I know, I know, it's going to get worse ;)
I had a doctors appointment on Thursday and it was with the midwife, who was extremely nice. Unfortunately, my blood pressure was a little on the high side and my ankles and feet were so swollen she said that I needed to make another appointment for next week just in case. I told the receptionist I want to see my regular doctor cause I haven't seen him in months. If I need to be taken out of work for some reason, I want it to come out of his mouth and not someone who doesn't know me very well. I hope it isn't the case because I want as much time with the baby when she is born as possible and that would defiantly cut into my (unpaid) FMLA leave.
The baby hasn't been moving as much lately and I figure it's because she is probably running out of room in there. She still likes ice cream though:) and so does mommy:)
I'm getting extremely excited, I have two baby showers this week! Adam's work is putting one on for us and I have my "big" shower that my sister and mom are throwing for me on Sunday! I can't wait to see all my family and friends and coworkers so we can celebrate the baby:) My sister and mom have been working so hard on this shower, I'm so excited to see how it turns out!
That's it for now, hopefully I will have pics of the showers:)

31 Week Appointment
So I was stuck with the doctor who I don't so much like today, which kinda stinks. I never get Dr. G anymore and it kinda stinks cause he takes you on a patient to patient basis, where Dr. B just clumps everyone together (or that's the feeling I get). I told her that work is making me work very long shifts in 9 or 10 day increments and she didn't so much as budge, she just said that my blood pressure isn't high and I'm not pre-eclamptic, so there is nothing I can do to cut back my hours, just to tell work that I need to work 5 days a week 8 hours a day. She wrote me a note, but I'm not sure how much good it will do with the way work is going lately. They may just say "we can't do that for you" at which point I cannot do anything. I worked an 11 hour day, my 9th day in a row yesterday because we were understaffed yet again and ended up having frequent contractions at the end of the day. Pretty scary.
The good news is the baby's head is down, so she's in position, now to wait 9 more weeks for her to make her appearance. I'm not throwing up anymore which is great! Still have a few food aversions, but they seem to be subsiding.
Hopefully my next post will be more positive, I have had a long few days with work being so complicated.
Maybe this summer will go by fast!:)
